Bhajuratna Engineering & Sales Ltd (BESL) was inaugurated in 1965 and was named after Bhajuratna, the late father of Maniharsha Jyoti. BESL was established by Maniharsha Jyoti with the vision of improving the lives of Nepalese, by providing quality products and services to the people living in the hills and plains of Nepal. It was done at a time when very few companies sought to venture out of the Kathmandu Valley. In the following years, it continued to add brands and products to its range.

After more than 50 years, it remains a trusted company. Today, BESL is the authorized distributor and retailer of TAFE, The Asiatic Gas, ESAB and Fenner. It is also the authorized retailer of Himal Steel (rebars, annealed wire) and Himal Oxygen (industrial and medical oxygen, and nitrogen). It has its branches and workshops located across Nepal, to serve industries, hospitals and walk-in customers.
